2020 Winery Registration
SPECIAL STATEMENT TO WINERIES: We are accepting winery applications for the 2020 Wine Festival as usual. Please complete and return the Winery Application Form, accessible below, and submit your application fees and wines for judging as noted on the application.
In the event that restrictions imposed by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic require us to cancel the Public Grand Tasting on July 25, 2020, the judged competition and medal awarding portions of the Festival will still take place as scheduled. All application fees paid by wineries wishing to participate in this phase of the event will be applied to costs associated with the judging.
Wineries that have submitted their application and fees and then wish to withdraw from the judged competition due to the cancellation of the Grand Tasting, should notify us via email no later than July 3, 2020. You will receive a full refund of any paid application fees within 30 days of our receipt of notification. Any wines that have been submitted to us will be considered a donation to the Whatcom Beer and Wine Foundation. A donation receipt for these wines will be provided upon request.
The results of the judged competition will be emailed to participating wineries and posted to the Foundation web site on July 25, 2020. Medals and the Best in Show trophy will be mailed or delivered to wineries within 30 days after the results have been posted.
Please note that any wines awarded Gold or Double Gold medals and the Best in Show will automatically qualify for entry in the Wine Press Northwest Platinum Judging in October, 2020.
